“Whatever you water, grows”
Growth in whatever aspect of life comes from taking deliberate and consistent action. The progress accumulates, creates a chain reaction, and the resultant effect is outstanding success.
Yes, the type that makes people congratulate and cheer you to do more. The type that gets people to “God when”.
Success, they say, has lots of friends. However, success does not happen overnight. In other words;
“Rome was not built in a day.”
It is the law of the universe. To reward effort with success (Ceteris Paribus).
Whether academically, financially, romantically, or in your career, the reward for effort is success.
“Whatever you water, grows.”
The students who graduate ‘Summa Cum Laude’ put in hours of study, research, and knowledge retention. The career-guru who won the ‘Most Exceptional Employee/Manager’ put in tons of back-breaking hard work and smart work. They took certification courses, improved on their work ethics, and aced their deliverables. It was a culmination of conscious and consistent effort to get to that zenith.
The sweet and heart-melting relationship you awwwn and God when to, took the partners consciously and deliberately choosing and loving themselves. Irrespective of the challenges, they stood their ground and continually chose themselves.
“Success does not just drop on your laps”.
You see, while you can be rest assured that the reward of your effort will be success (again, ceteria paribus), it is not the case that you will not be met with challenges and obstacles.
They will come. However, your assurance of eventually succeeding is largely dependent on facing the challenges head-on, devising innovative ways to circumvent the obstacles, and forging ahead.
Eyes on the goal always, but be flexible about how you achieve them.
Understanding that the universe rewards (accumulated) effort, and taking your journey one day at a time is one phenomenon you should always have in mind. Because stopping mid-way might largely derail the effort you have put in initially.
Remember;
“Whatever you water, grows”.
Do not be afraid to wake up every day and contribute the day’s quota. Even when the result is not yet evident; to the best of your ability, please keep pushing and doing.
I am not sure how far this newsletter will go. But I want you who come across it to know that I Jessica Uche, am rooting for you, heavily.
As I like to say, a man cannot have a child in one month simply by impregnating 9 women. TIME and PROCESS are two immutable components in the equation of success.
Thanks for the beautiful post, Jess!
